Beijing Eswei Computing (01256.HK) debuted on the HKEX main board on October 9 at HK$1.55 per share, closing day one at HK$1.605 for a market capitalization of HK$35.4 billion. Founded in 2019 by BOE founder Wang Dongsheng, the company is China's largest domestic supplier of human-machine-interface chips and ranks third among Chinese vendors in RISC-V controller chips.
Revenue grew from RMB 1.75 billion in 2023 to RMB 2.43 billion in 2025, though cumulative net losses over the period reached RMB 4.9 billion on R&D spending that has long exceeded half of revenue. The bright spot is the computing-chip business: its revenue share jumped from 13.2% in 2025 to 45.1% in Q1 2026, driven by a RISC-V AI SoC program for large-model inference already adopted by a leading consumer storage maker.
The roughly HK$2.4 billion raised will fund chip R&D, RISC-V ecosystem building and potential strategic acquisitions.
